We’ve worked hard here at Print Mysteries to create the most impressive puzzles for each of our games. These logic puzzles will push you to your absolute limits with each difficulty level. After playing many different types of murder mystery cases, I’ve found that the difficulty levels are far from standard between different cases. The majority of these cases are too easy and don’t give players a decent challenge. With our games, we give players the opportunity to really feel like a detective.

Normal vs Hard vs Very Hard

Our “normal” puzzles give everyone a decent challenge. They’re definitely not easy, and will have you scratching your head, but they don’t go out of their way to bamboozle you. As the logic puzzles get more difficult, we add on additional layers that will require players to think further and further outside of the box. These cases normally have 3 or 4 objectives to complete.

Our “hard cases” will add more cryptic notes and puzzles. Think of them more as a cryptic crossword vs a regular one. We’re going to expect you to look at every last detail in every witness statement and image to spot when something seems off. And when actual secret codes are involved, it will take multiple steps to decode them. These cases will have around 6 objectives to complete.

Finally, with “very hard cases”, we push everything to the next level. Players will have to decipher codes, then use those answers to decipher even further codes. The hardest cases have extra puzzles added in on top of the investigation to keep you invested for hours. But all the puzzles are fair. You’ll need to work to solve them, but they definitely can be solved. And we do have many, many clues for every objective, so that players can get nudged toward the answer without explicitly stating it. These cases will have 6+ objectives to complete.
